Pakistani wedding has a lot of processes when it comes to their marriage, they are bound to their typical way of wedding. The next is engagement or Mangni it is a formal ceremony to mark the engagement of the couple. After the engagement, party is the Dholki, it is a percussion instrument which is the use in the wedding ceremony. After hearing the Dholki, the Maayun will follow, it is the custom of bride entering the state of seclusion before the wedding ceremony. The Mehndi will follow the Henna ceremony this is traditionally being held separately for the bride and groom. Then, will be followed by Nikah, it is the official wedding ceremony that usually takes place at the bride’s home. Afterwards is the wedding ceremony or the Shaadi is where the bride’s reception is formally being taken place. The place where the wedding was held was the fall of relatives from the groom’s family member and from the bride’s family member. After the wedding, it will be followed by so many surprises from the groom and games for all the members of each family.
The marriage process in Pakistan has also arranged marriage where the family of a girl or a man will be the one to choose whom to marry. This is being approved from both sides of the family. The wedding preparations will be a venue in the bride’s house and for those who can afford they will hold the wedding in some place like abroad. The wedding will also be postponed if there are important relatives whom they wish to come to the ceremony.
